“Hi Roger, great stuff.” It’s funny how those four words, a period and a
comma began a musical relationship and a friendship that has been going on
for close to three years now. When I released my first CD after a wait of
thirty or forty years I had already reconciled myself to the fact that
friends and family would more than likely be my only audience.
Then there were those four words, the period and the comma. “Classic”
became one of the first people to not only reach out to me, but through
plays and as an on air guest on his Indie on Air program, introduce me to
listeners around the world via his Indie on Air program. Thus began a
relationship that continues to this day, based on mutual respect and an
incredible passion for all things musical.
I have watched Classic’s musical passion blossom into small promotions,
larger promotions and tours, providing consulting and promotional services
for the independent artist who just wants to share his or her music with
people, not to mention somehow also finding the time to write a book.
Now, that passion has seen him expand into providing a label for the indie
artist who would most certainly be overlooked.
Classic embodies the spirit of the indie artist, because in truth, he is
one also. As a “businessman’ he is throwback to the days when business
was done with respect and trust, something which is sorely lacking in the
music business these days.
I have been living, working and every now and then playing small shows in
Russia the past year and a half, but through the wonder of technology I am
able to hear incredible artists which I never would have thanks to
“Classic”. I have heard interviews with environmentalists, rock and roll
photographers, you name it, I have probably first been turned onto it by
Although he and I have never met face to face, I look forward to the day
when I can thank him for the support he has given to my music and me. And
of course, what better way than buying him a beer and uttering four words
. . . “Hi Classic, great stuff.”

|Indie on Air! Records signs country artist JB Aaron!|
IOA! Records is proud to announce the signing of Nashville, TN country singer JB Aaron. JB is ranked #2 in the Reverbnation national country charts!
"Adding an artist the caliber of JB not only has everyone at the label excited; it also signifies a new direction undertaken by our new A&R Director. L.W. Perry." explains founder Jeff Classic Popka.
"As a label we are getting more agressive in expansion and exploring newer markets such as Nashville where we will be opening a physical office to work from in the very near future. L.W. really has hit the ground running with the addition of JB Aaron. JB has an amazing future and we all expect to grow together."
Singer-Songwriter and Nashville Artist “JB Aaron”, was born the youngest of 6 siblings from Niagara Falls, NY. JB was a 15 year firefighter and medical technician in the Town of Niagara with the Active Hose Fire Department.
His singing career started at the age of 8, by participating in talent shows in the western New York region, taking the crowds by surprise, and capturing multiple first-place prizes and trophies. JB has performed for the Niagara Falls, New York Festival of Lights, and has also been on the Televised show of the Niagara Falls Firefighters Toy Fund Telethon for approximately 10 years straight, along with performing for the elderly at Nursing Homes, Cancer Centers, and Hospitals, JB has also performed for multiple charity events and fundraisers, including the American Diabetes Association, and the American Cancer Society. JB soon after found his calling for Country Music, as he shared the stage with National acts such as; Miranda Lambert, Mark Wills, Low Cash Cowboys, Gloriana, Brian McComas, Wayde Hayes, Jeff Carson and many more.
JB’s travels and engagements have been across the Country, including Las Vegas, Santa Monica Beach, CA, Pennsylvania to Delaware, and even parts of Canada. “I owe all my accomplishments to my parents and God. My parents are two wonderful people that I love dearly, and have the deepest gratitude for their support of my dreams. When I sang at the Grand Ole Opry, I remember seeing a sign on the door that said “There aint nothing in the world today, that me and the Lord can’t handle tomorrow!” (Roy Accuff)
JB’s passion for singing and performing, inspires him to continue to entertain and support the country music industry, sharing his love of the music with the world for as long as he can.
